Nicholas Beames

Founder & CEO at Beames Capital

NICHOLAS BEAMES is a wildly successful and dynamic serial entrepreneur who started his first ventures while still in high school. After a decade of founding, growing and taking public his first big business, Astute Payroll, he returned to grass-roots entrepreneurship with Rounded, Recstra, Solo Cover, Cloud Gigs and NerdSearcher. He is also an active investor and advisor through the private equity firm he established in 2008, Beames Capital, with a particular passion for start-ups that empower people in the gig economy. An authority on HR Tech & Fin Tech, he speaks at conferences worldwide. In 2011 he authored Different Thinking, a book that shares the wisdom of twenty inspiring business owners. Nick studied commerce at Sydney University and took an MBA at Southern Cross University. He is a fellow of the Australian Human Resource Institute (AHRI) and Recruitment and Consulting Services Association (RCSA), and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

Rob Sheffield
